The Different Types of Himolla Furniture Leather Qualities

One of the most common questions we are asked about our range of Himolla furniture is the difference between the various leather finishes available. Slightly embossed, all of them are Italian tanned, through-dyed and come with a five year guarantee against manufacturing defects. To ensure the highest quality of finish, split leather is never used on any outer parts of Himolla furniture.

The main difference between the five leather grades is their thickness, softness and quality as those with less natural defects in the leather require less work to achieve a perfect finish. To help ensure you choose the correct option for your home, here is a brief guide to help you better understand the different Himolla leathers:

1. LL18 – Corrected Grain

The LL18 is the price entry leather option. Although it is the thinnest of the five leathers, it is the hardest wearing and the consistent grain embossed finish also makes it easy to care for.

2. LL22 – Corrected Grain

With a slightly softer feel than LL18, the LL22 also has a consistent grain embossed finish for a more durable and easy to clean surface.

3. LL24 – Corrected Grain

As a result of the irregular embossing, the LL24 leather has a more natural, uneven look. It is the softest out of the three corrected grain options and is available in a range of colours.

4. LL31 – Semi-Aniline

With the irregular light embossing and inconsistent grain of the leather, natural markings are more visible. The thick leather is soft-to-touch and of a very high quality.

5. LL33 – Semi-Aniline

As the thickest of all the Himolla leathers, the LL33’s regular embossing makes for an extremely soft feel. It is an ideal option for those looking for a recliner with a consistent grain as it boasts the most natural and luxurious finish.
