Ercol Furniture

This was my first visit to Smiths of Harrogate and it was a very positive experience. The showroom is extensive and they stock an excellent range of quality brands. I had specifically gone to choose some Ercol items and Chris the sales person was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I felt well informed enough to make decisions without feeling at all pressured. The pricing is competitive and the ordering was straightforward. I received a copy of my order by email within a few minutes of the order being processed. My furniture will be delivered free which is a big bonus. In summary, a pleasant and efficient Company that I would highly recommend.

Placed an order with Smiths for a table we has researched online. They had the best price and offered free delivery for our location in South West London - hurray! The processing, follow up and communication was very good. The table was delivered earlier than expected and by two lovely chaps. Really pleased with the table (Ercol), and the service we received from Smiths was excellent and totally professional.

Ercol site said that Smiths had Ercol sofas in stock. We are not local but were visiting Harrogate Flower Show so decided to pop into Harrogate to look at the sofa we had seen on line. We were so impressed with the store and particularly Malcolm that we decided straight away to order the sofa from Smiths. Such an excellent traditional furniture shop. Malcolm was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. A pleasure to deal with. I have never enjoyed buying a sofa so much.

Checked website before visiting; friendly, efficient service (from Malcolm) with good discount offered on Ercol table. Order placed with no complications and complete process from start to finish very straightforward.

Fabulous service and products. Great service was provided by every person I had dealings with. Emails re delivery were answered quickly. The in house delivery guys turned up on time, and rang an hour before to confirm they were on their way. They set up my Ercol furniture with great care and professionalism. This company really cares about its customers and it was really refreshing to deal with a company where customer service and delivery hadn’t been out-sourced. So you speak to people who really can help rather than saying “someone will be in touch”. I would highly recommend and will be using this company again for a great hassle free customer experience. Thank you.

We travelled from Newcastle to visit the store as they have a good selection of Ercol furniture. We were helped enormously by Christopher who patiently answered all our questions, from the choice of sofa and chair to the fabric colour. There was no sales pressure whatsoever and we felt so assured and confident of our choice that we were happy to place an order with him that day. Now looking forward to our new furniture.

From visiting the showroom to check out the Ercol dining tables on display, to purchasing and delivery, The team at Smith at the Rink were a pleasure to deal with. Despite Covid closures and disruptions, our dining table was actually delivered ahead of schedule and the delivery team assembled the table with a pleasant and efficient manner. Our table is a thing of beauty!! Thank you to all!

We have been really happy customers of Smiths the Rink, we ordered an Ercol Cosenza sofa, foot rest and armchair after visiting their fantastic, unique showroom. The staff were incredibly welcoming and patient with our indecisive decision making. We were kept up to date with the progression of our order and the two delivery guys did a great job of getting the sofa in without an issue, they were both polite and helpful in assisting moving other furniture to make space. I would recommend a visit to anyone, especially if you love quality furniture but think you will have to settle for something cheaper, as we hadn't realised we could pay it off in instalments, so we got the one we liked most and the quality we were hoping for!

I just wanted to let you know that we are delighted with our new Ercol table which was delivered last week. From my first telephone enquiry to delivery of the table everyone at Smith’s has been knowledgable, polite, efficient and friendly. I wish I lived nearer to Harrogate so that I could say ‘thank you’ personally. Best wishes to you all

What a Stunning Ercol showroom! We travelled to Smiths specifically to shop for an Ercol extending dining table and chairs. It was well worth the travel. The Ercol showroom upstairs is out of this world! It's a modern, stylish, well- designed space which feels welcoming and warm. The ceilings are lower so you get a better sense of the furniture proportions in relation to a room in your home, compared to a vast showroom. They have pieces of furniture on show in every colour of finish available, including the brand new green and blue wood stains. The wide selection of Ercol furniture on display is second to none and at very competitive prices. Andrea is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, we browsed at our own pace, but he was then at hand each time we wanted his help. Nothing was too much trouble. We were able to try sitting on every style of dining chair and place them at the table we loved and decide which ones we preferred. We fell in love with the Fairmile large table and chairs in 'burnt umber' and happily purchased them on the spot. We were given the options of an immaculate ex-display set, or order a new one to be made. We needed a set quickly so chose the display model at a superb price. It was delivered today by their own fantastic delivery team (which we arranged easily over the phone with the delivery manager) The team assembled it, took all packaging and left the beautiful set in our dining room. Whilst we were in store on the day of purchase we were able to look at other furniture items that are available in the same colour to compliment the dining set. We will definitely purchase again shortly. Thankyou Smiths of Harrogate for an exceptional shopping experience from start to finish. We cannot recommend them highly enough!
