Divan beds consist of a mattress on a sprung or platform top divan base (also knows as a box spring). Divans offer a number of advantages over a traditional beech slatted bed frame in providing a superior, supportive surface for your mattress.
There are a number of different choices available when it comes to the type of divan base suitable for you. A sprung divan offers additional movement in the surface the mattress is resting on and therefore offers a more sumptuous feel, whereas a platform top divan is often suited for those who prefer a firmer feel to their mattress. A divan base offers storage options in a number of different ways depending on manufacturer, however all are available with drawers in a wide selection of fabrics.
Headboards are easily attached to your divan as they include brackets that allow either a traditional strutted or a european styled deep headboard for more of a wow factor.
Here at Smiths we have the largest selection on quality beds & luxury divans in the area, from leading manufacturers such as Tempur, Harrison beds, Somnus, Hypnos, Dunlopillo, Mammoth performance and Many more.
