The Winchester collection of dining and occasional furniture is crafted from Birch and Birch veneers with oiled solid Oak detailing and a gently distressed, lacquered paint finish. Crisp and fresh, the pared down Shaker design has been given a contemporary twist to create a range that works well in both modern and traditional settings. The distressed paint finish is achieved through the application of several layers of paint which are then gently aged in places. The hand finishing of each item and the appearance over time of hairline cracks in the paint finish - a natural part of the ageing process - results in a subtle variation in finish between pieces giving each piece its own unique character.
