The cumuly action refers to how the chair reclines, available in both manual and electric options the manual recliner uses a gas spring that can be adjusted by pulling a leather toggle located to the side of the seat. By pulling the toggle the gas spring allows the back to be adjusted and by releasing the toggle the backrest will stay in your chosen position. The integral footrest neatly opens out from the underside of the chair, on the manual version this is achieved by pushing back on the armrests with the footrest progressively opening out to provide leg support.
The electric version offers improved flexibility primarily in the footrest, the electric footrest can be positioned in any desired position whilst still providing support whereas the manual footrest only offers support when fully opened - this is a key point when comparing the electric and manual versions. The Himolla Mersey electric recliner operation is controlled using an inline remote control that neatly stores in a pocket located on the side of the chair, the system uses dual motor operation allowing for independent operation of the footrest and backrest with a reset button located on the base of the controller to return both the footrest and backrest to an upright position. As standard the electric version uses a mains power connection but has the ability to be operated using an optional removable battery that simply fits into the power connection on the back of the chair, the battery provides approximately 150 full operations between charging.
