Skovby Wood Care Oil is a high-quality treatment based on natural vegetable oils, designed to nourish and protect your furniture while maintaining its light, natural appearance. The oil penetrates deep into the wood, helping to preserve the surface and provide a water-repellent finish. Ideal for maintaining Skovby dining tables and furniture, this oil helps keep wood looking its best with regular care and application. Bottle design may differ from image - now plastic Natural oil formulation based on vegetable oils Skovby 500ml Natural Oil for use with Skovby Oak Oil Natural finish Please ensure this is applied as per Skovbys instruction on their website Nourishes and protects wood surfaces Helps maintain a light, natural finish Provides a water-repellent surface Suitable for regular maintenance of Skovby furniture Preparation: Always ensure the surface is clean before applying oil. If required, lightly sand along the grain using a fine sanding sponge (approx. 220 grit). Clean the surface using a cloth dampened with lukewarm water and a small amount of pH-neutral washing-up liquid. Wipe dry with a clean cloth and allow the wood to dry for approximately two hours. Application: Apply the oil using a clean, lint-free cloth or sponge, working evenly along the grain of the wood. Cover all surfaces and edges with a thin, even layer. After 2–3 minutes, remove any excess oil using a clean, dry cloth while the surface is still wet. The oil will take up to 48 hours to fully cure and provide maximum protection. For best results, repeat treatment 2–3 times per year or as required. Important: Before fully cured, the oil may transfer onto clothing and fabrics. This may not be removable. The Ercol Windsor dining chair is a classic ercol design. Featuring a distinctive curved back, each chair is manufactured using traditional techniques including steam to shape the chairs bow back. A solid ash wood frame with the legs carefully attached using wedge joints, a method whereby the legs are installed into the seat structure, with a wedge hammered into the joints and carefully sanded for a smooth finish. This method ensures the legs are securely fitted to the chair whilst the H frame provides additional strength to the design. The seat itself is shaped to provide a saddle style seat to provide a comfortable and supportive sit. Choose from a selection of wood finishes which are all lacquered to seal the surface ensuring low maintenance and longevity.
