The lift action is operated by pressing the lift button - when this is pressed the chair will begin to rise upward - as it ascends the swivel mechanism is mechanically locked to prevent it rotating - the action can then be stopped where you desire or the chair will lift into its highest point. The lift and rise chair is aesthetically the same as a standard lift chair making the lift funcion completely discreet whilst maintaining the contemporary style. The action is known as the cumuly action and refers to the way the backrest moves slightly backward when the footrest is opened - this improves comfort by slightly reclining the user and utilizing the lumbar support. *sold separately* The controller for the Lupo is kept on the users left side and uses a magnetised holster to keep the control in the perfect position.
