The Vispring Shetland Superb is part of the luxe collection with a dual layer of calico encased vanadium steel pocket springs. Made using hand teased real Shetland wool combined with layers of luxurious British fleece wool to create a sumptuous and yet supportive feeling mattress. With a total of 2242 springs in a king size the Shetland Superbs double layer of calico pocket springs are made using vanadium steel for longevity - the additional layer of springs enhances the luxury feel by offering increased support from the additional spring layer. As the springs are layered they effectively share the users weight and offer a more progressive movement to improve the luxurious feel.
Using luxurious fillings the Shetland Superb mattress is filled with real hand teased Shetland wool & British fleece wool to create a luxurious sleeping surface. Made with 3 layers of hand side stitching to provide edge to edge support. The calico encapsulated iridium pocket springs work with the natural fillings to provide a supportive and luxurious mattress. The Shetland Superb is part of the top of the range Luxe vispring range offering an increased spring count and generous fillings with 3 rows of hand side stitching to create edge to edge support.
Traditionally handmade using true hand side stitching - a meticulous process to join the mattress borders to the internal honeycomb nested springs to reduce a roll off feel when close to the edge of the mattress - this traditional process has been used for many years and ensures edge to edge support.
The Shetland Superb mattress is turnable and can also be rotated throughout the year to ensure longevity - this is done using the sewn handles on the outside of the mattress border. By turning and rotating not only are you increasing the longevity of the mattress you are also given 2 sleeping surfaces as both sides of the mattress are filled with luxurious fillings. This mattress is available with a choice of 2 worsted wool tickings in a choice of grey or ecru - this ticking is used on this mattress as it is the most pliable ticking and therefore does not affect the overall feel of this uniquely filled mattress.
The Shetland Superb is partnered with the Vispring wool sovereign divan base manufactured using fsc certified solid timber with 1344 springs in a king size bed that work perfectly with this mattress to give the perfect night's sleep. The divan base contains luxury softly & heavily needled British fleece wool that when combined with the hand nested calico pocket springs provide the perfect surface for your Vispring mattress. Choose from over 50 fabrics for your base with matching headboards available.
